Play the Role Required-A Reflection on Teaching

Play the role required.
Prepare to switch hats rapidly: coach, diplomat, storyteller, artist…. Teaching is a metajob, the most all-encompassing of professions.

Hendricks, S. (2011). Notes on Teaching : A Short Guide to an Essential Skill. Retrieved from http://site.ebrary.com/lib/capella/Doc?id=10497469&ppg=33.
A teacher is give the task of playing many roles on a stage. The roles consists of the ways we reach our students to ensure that they have a deep understanding of the topics we are trying to teach and the stage is the platform and/or environment in which the information is disseminated. This could be in a traditional classrom, on the playground, or virtually.
If we truly want to all call ourselves an educator, we must be willing to wear many hats!
